I wasn't sure if you'd want to dabble with them - even with all the advantages of hard-light technology given Kaiba, I2, and Leo Corp's arms races in the field, hardlight armor still isn't nearly as potent as a proper suit of physical materials. It does save on bulk and power, of course - projection fields tend to be simpler for energy consumption than full actuator suites - but even still there are some downsides when compared to a classic suit of titanium alloy, or some magnesium-aluminum composites.
