So... what do you do when you want a fresh start and the one with the keys to do so won't give the choice to do so?

There was one before you, probably more. The guy who created you was trying to clone me in order to do something very bad. He needed one perfect enough to strip my personality down to do it.

Maybe inventing a new name would be better, anyway. You had wanted to start over, and this way, you can.

... How peculiar. Completely unethical... but I can see the uses of such work.

... I wanted to start over... did it include wiping my memory. And Vidya sounds like a good name.

It was unethical. It was wrong. And he did horrible things to people. But he's gone, now, and gone for good. So you're not tied to him any more than you want to be.

It does. I think it's Hindu.

... I was tied to him... how disturbing.

It does, as in I did want to wipe my memory.

Ah...

You were. You called him 'daddy' once, though I can't say I reccomend it.

It does, as in it sounds like a good name. i can't tell you whether you wanted your memory wiped or not. It's not impossible.

... Well, if he was my creator, it might make senses...

... Ah... Thank you.

I wonder what caused my lapse of memory.

There's a difference in a creator and a father. That wasn't a father.

I couldn't tell you what caused it -- and around here, I'm starting to think nothing's as impossible as it is improbable.

... Ah... True...

Perhaps this island suffers a macrocosmic fit of Schrodinger's Cat or Quantum Mechanics in general?

[identity profile] thehellflowers.livejournal.com 2007-10-28 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Basically, the rules that control quantum mechanics (Basically, think a giant randomized casino on heroin and crack cocaine) is operating on a level where only the laws of physics concerning relativity (Einstein, dude with crazy hair) should be operating.

Basically, the island doesn't run on cause and effect, but rather a martini shaken or stirred, a roulette table, and a hooker.
