Okay, I have some work to do.
For a very basic rundown:
- I'll be investigating Duel Academy Island, to give a proper review to the Empress/Prime Minister, Empress Consort and Emperor.
- I also need to check to see if any 'artifacts' from another timeline or universe may have copied to this world. It's unlikely, but again, the Empress wants me to double check this.
- I'm investigating the disappearance of Akashiro Tsurugi.
- Yes, I have a guest pass, as I'm told there's a teacher who's extremely particular about those.
I think I'm the second or third executive checking over Duel Academy Island for the Empress, I get the feeling she's made her mind up about it, but, I guess it gives me a reason to leave my villa.

I'm right here! But no one seems to believe me!

Dear, you may be a Akashiro Tsurugi, but you're not the Akashiro Tsurugi I'm looking for.

Ragnarok “what did that ninja call you, a blue tulip?”
Apocralyph “blue rose brother.”

::There's a woman wearing glasses, a nice multi-colored dress, and a lab coat with a pile of papers, an opened folder and a tablet and laptop.
She's drinking a coffee and eating a pastry.::

Something that shouldn't exist.

But to answer your friends' question: A Blue Rose is something that should not exist, at least not naturally. You can't get a blue rose via natural means.

George smiles, “I took it mean she was dumping me.”
Re: Walking into cafe
In my day, we'd simply just turn you down, preferably nicely if you were a sweetheart.

Re: Walking into cafe
... Go on. That's a really odd thing to call someone.

Vidya Jigokubana, Special Science Advisor to the Empress.

Nice to meet you, I suppose.
It's someone saying something about you isn't real or concocted or artifice. I don't know what they'd be doing calling you that.
But based on what limited context clues I have, that sounds like the implication.

I hope the Job Fair goes well.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help - I assume if this is a direct missive of the Royal Family then they'll likely be wrapping me into it at... some point. But if there are resources you need, don't hesitate to ask.
Are there any artifacts in particular we should be worried about?

- Only if a truly major problem is involved and Kaiba Corp yields their property. I'm a non-partisan non-political figure.
- I'm mostly looking for any signs of my husband, but Noriko mentioned something called "The Fusion Dimension" and "Academia".
- Do you have any power armor.
no subject
Yes, those are certainly topics of... discussion. Interested for you to share your discoveries in that venue.
...Mmmm. Yes, but an older suit - basically refurbished from second generation D-Wheel parts. Bulky and not very stealthy, was mostly a side project to keep the gears in my head spinning. Hopefully that's not a problem, Vidya?
no subject
Of course.
Hopefully our discoveries are there are none. That's the best case scenario.
I mostly need the chest and arms, just in case.

...You're lucky I considered modularity a core feature with that project... yes, I should be able to decouple the extra parts so that you can just wear the chest harness and gauntlets. Be forewarned that decoupled from the full suit, the auxillary generator isn't all-sustaining.
Thankfully it's using a core that I use in the full-strength Duel Guards so the battery life shouldn't be a problem unless you get trapped in a Chthonic Labyrinth or other recursive reality trap.

Then let us hope they're severed dead ends.
Alright, I can build a perpetual motion generator just fine.
Ah. Yes. I keep hearing about Duel Guards. Any way I can get a development kit of them.

...Geez, and they call me a mad scientist. It's been a minute since I've had competition!
And yes, of course. I'll give you a dev kit and a few spare alpha-stage prototypes. I wasn't sure if you'd want to dabble with them - even with all the advantages of hard-light technology given Kaiba, I2, and Leo Corp's arms races in the field, hardlight armor still isn't nearly as potent as a proper suit of physical materials. It does save on bulk and power, of course - projection fields tend to be simpler for energy consumption than full actuator suites - but even still there are some downsides when compared to a classic suit of titanium alloy, or some magnesium-aluminum composites.

I know how to work with power suits and laser/hard light technology.
It'll be fine.

Just passing along my notes - I'm no expert in the field but I figured I'd at least give you some notes on how I found it best works.
Though, if you do find any improvements I missed on the system, do let me know - most of OOPARTS do have Duel Guards to use in emergencies so any improvements I can make to the system would be welcome.

I would heavily appreciate it in case there are significant differences between my Duel Academy Island and your Duel Academy Island.
... And I don't trust myself being alone with my own thoughts.
