Because apparently, from the jist that I got of it, everyone who had something "different" from everyone else was "inhuman", and was in danger of basically going insane and killing everyone else.

Which is quite silly, really. Sure, people may go insane from different reasons, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'd want to kill everyone.

Well there is recessive and dominant genes. One generation's dominant is another's recessive.
